Sticky Pecan Pie Bars

CRUST
1 PKG (18.25 OZ) PLAIN YELLOW CAKE MIX
8 t. (1 STICK) BUTTER MELTED
1 LARGE EGG

FILLING
¾ C. DARK CORN SYRUP
¼ C. PACKED LIGHT BROWN SUGAR
2 LARGE EGGS
1 t. VANILLA EXTRACT
1 ½ C. PECANS

Place rack in center of oven and preheat to 350 degrees.
Ungreased 13x9 baking pan

CRUST: Blend ingredients for 2 minutes with mixer on low. Batter will be like a thick dough. Press into bottom and up ½” sides. Back 20 minutes until just begins to brown.

FILLING: Mix all ingredients except pecans for one minute on medium. Fold in pecans

Pour filling onto crust and spread. Bake 22-25 minutes until crust is golden brown and filling just starts to set. Cool on wire rack. Cut into bars. Can also freeze bars.
